The Saudi teen who ran away from her family in Saudi Arabia says she is now enjoying life in Canada by eating bacon.
Rahaf Mohammed Alqunun, 18, shared pictures on her Snapchat account wearing a short dress and another post saying she had tried bacon for the first time, captioned 'Omg bacon.' Ms Alqunun fled her family while visiting Kuwait before flying to Bangkok.
Once there, she barricaded herself in an airport hotel to avoid deportation and tweeted about her situation.
On Friday, Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada would accept Ms Alqunun as a refugee.
Her situation has highlighted the cause of women’s rights in Saudi Arabia, where several women fleeing abuse by their families have been caught trying to seek asylum abroad in recent years and returned home.

Do you want a gorgeous, fierce warrior as the face of your company?
Do you want to try to undo the regressive mistakes of your competitor @Nike?
As opposed to celebrating misogyny & modesty culture, celebrate perseverance & freedom against ALL odds!#FreeFromHijab pic.twitter.com/Mr6YUSWzin
