Artist Shahida Ahmed's oil on canvas which aimed to highlight homelessness was auctioned at a special Manchester fundraising dinner.
The image shows a refugee child in a cardboard box. The art work forms part of a new collection created by Ms. Ahmed themed ‘Humanity’.
In Manchester there has been a recorded 21% increase in people sleeping rough since 2016 leading to calls to do more to help this vulnerable deprived community.
The painting was auctioned on the at the Mayor Andy Burnham's homeless charity ball auction and went on to raise £5000 for the homelessness fund.

The next exhibition of She will be showcased in Muscat in the Spring of 2019 which will focus on the Humanities collection.
