FORMER Bradford policeman Mabs Hussain has picked up his MBE at Buckingham Palace.
Assistant Chief Constable Hussain was awarded an MBE during the Queen’s birthday celebrations for his services to charity and policing.
ACC Hussain was earlier this year appointed as an Assistant Chief Constable in Greater Manchester from his role as District Commander of Wakefield Police.
He said: "Without the support of my family and others throughout my career, today would not have been possible.
"Truly humbling moment receiving my MBE from HRH Prince William who specifically asked for his best wishes to be passed to all officers and staff."
ACC Hussain became District Commander of Wakefield District Police in 2016 after a career spent across West Yorkshire Police, starting in Bradford as a uniformed PC, before moving to CID.
