POLICE are searching for a convicted sex offender who is suspected of breaching a court order.
Mohammed Yaqub was jailed in 2013 for possessing indecent images of children, but was released in October 2014.
The 55-year-old, of Radcliffe Road, Darcy Lever, is now wanted on suspicion of breaching his Sex Offender Notification Requirements and Sex Offence Prevention Order.
Officers have been searching for him for some time and believe he knows he is wanted and is actively avoiding arrest.
He is known to have links to North Wales, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds and Sheffield.
Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of Mr Yaqub is asked to contact police on 0161 856 3621, or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
