A manhunt is underway for a man who allegedly tried to lure a 10 year-old schoolgirl from Tadworth into his car.
Officers have released an e-fit and are appealing to residents living in Tadworth for their help identifying and tracking him down.
The victim reported that she was walking along Merland Rise at around 5.30pm on October 23 when a dark green Peugeot 106 pulled up alongside her with its passenger window down.
The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, allegedly asked her to get in. The victim said she ran off screaming for help towards two people walking their dog and the suspect drove off.
Police said the victim saw the same vehicle and driver on October 31, driving along Marbles Way. However, on this occasion the suspect did not slow down or engage with the victim.
The man is described as white, in his 30s to 40s, with pale skin, pink cheeks, stubble and blue or green eyes.
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a Tweed flat cap and a red gemstone ring on the third finger of his right hand.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or may have any information that could progress the investigation.
