A Primary School held their Annual 'Na'ats Function'.
The 'Na'ats Function' is a permanent fixture in the calendar at Marsden Community Primary School.
Na'ats are a form of poetry – read with rhythm and sometimes accompanied by duff music. Na'ats are recited in a number of languages and are read to celebrate the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).
This year after weeks of practice and with the help of dedicated staff and supportive parents the children delivered an amazing performance to an audience of over 100 people.
Hashmat Khan from Blackburn, a well known Nasheed Artist was invited to perform at the end of the children's function along with Imam Afaq and Father Guy who jointly read the final prayer.
Pendle Community Radio Team assisted with the sound system.
