A NEW children’s nursery is set to open in Darwen.

Safe & Sound Nursery & Kidz Club is the brainchild of identical twin sisters Kerry-Ann Bateson and Kelly-Ann Corkin.

Set for its official opening on January 7, 2019, the Sudell Road nursery is hosting three open days over the next three months so people can go and have a look around before deciding whether to send their children there.

Manager and co-owner Kerry-Ann said: “Our mission is to provide an affordable high-quality childminding service for the parents and children within the Blackburn with Darwen area.

“We aim to nurture the interests and talents of all the children within our childcare setting and help them to become school-ready by providing a vast range of high-quality educational activities and outings.”

The first open day will be held on Saturday, October 27, from 11am until 3pm and will be attended by the Blackburn with Darwen Mayor, Cllr Pat McFall.
