Two 15-year-old boys arrested on suspicion of preparing for terrorist acts have been released without charge.
The pair were held at their homes in Ramsgate on Thursday.
Kent Police said on Wednesday: "Counter Terrorism Policing South East has advised us this morning that the two boys arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences in Ramsgate last week were released without charge yesterday evening.
"The investigation is ongoing."
The pair had been held in custody and questioned at a police station in the South East after being detained under the Terrorism Act.
Officers also searched properties in Ramsgate.
On Friday, detectives were granted warrants to detain them for an extra six days while they investigated further. The warrants were due to expire on Thursday.
Detective Superintendent Nigel Doak, from Counter Terrorism Policing South East, previously said the arrests were "pre-planned and intelligence-led" and there was "no immediate threat to the public".
