The first group of pupils at Eden Boys’ School, Bolton are celebrating 90% of them picking up the highest grades.

78% of pupils achieved ‘strong’ GCSE passes in English and Maths at grades 9 to 5, while 90% achieved grades 9 to 4 in these key subjects.

Shabir Fazal, Principal of Eden Boys’ School, said, “We are incredibly proud of our first Year 11 cohort and all their achievements. They have worked very hard, with support from our outstanding team of teaching staff and also their own families, and have applied themselves well to the very challenging, reformed GCSE courses with more exams and no coursework.

“Following on from our outstanding Ofsted report last year, these exceptional outcomes are further evidence of our total commitment to ensuring every single student achieves to their potential. What is even more pleasing is that our boys have developed strong community values and a sense of loyalty to each other and the school.

“We are very proud of our students and school community. They are a credit to themselves and their families and everyone at Eden Boys’ School is delighted to have played a role in helping them become the fine young men they are.”
