Ok so now I’m a mum, most of my clothes get covered with vomit. Also with breastfeeding, it’s bye-bye fashion sense, hello functional outfits with zips and buttons.

Plus factoring in my ever-changing body shape, now is NOT the time to splurge on a new wardrobe.

So when Everything5Pounds reached out to introduce me to their clothing brand and offered an Everything5Pounds haul, I was interested.

The clue is in the name. They offer clothing and accessories for £5. But it’s not just cheap tat. Everything5Pounds offers brands such as River Island, Topshop and ASOS.

The only catch is you don’t know what the brand is when you’re browsing online, and some of the labels are cut off.

.

So at £5, it’s not expected to be haute couture. However, there are some real gems at Everything5Pounds which undoubtedly are worth more than the super cheap price tag.

Based on the items I ordered, some items perhaps resemble the quality of Boohoo and Missguided. Other pieces wouldn’t look out of place at TK Maxx or Topshop.

So with my life being consumed by feeding, I opted for the tops and dresses with zips and buttons, plus a couple of other breastfeeding-friendly pieces.

The red check dress is possibly my favourite from the range. It’s a good fit, plus it’s accommodating for my adapting mum bod. On that front I’m slowly getting back to shape, and I have to report that breastfeeding is amazing for burning calories!

I played it safe and sized up, ordering a size 10. While it’s a bit loose for me, it’s a nice comfortable fit and is ideal for outings where I end up giving an impromptu yet inevitable feed.

The dress is 100% cotton. I’m not sure where it is from as the label is cut off (something to bear in mind when ordering).

And already, Hannah has managed to puke on it. Five times at last count. I’ve worn it to death (including at nap times. My nap as well as babies), and it has gone a bit threadbare. But at £5, if it gets me through the puke-a-hontas phase, it’s more than worth it.

Plus I’ve paid much more for clothes from places like Warehouse and found them surprisingly bobbly after just a few wears. So for those reasons alone, I’m glad the dress was just £5. I’ve had Hannah’s vomit on my Barbour coat, and I’ve put my Burberry trench on a hiatus until her stomach is more developed.

I also got another dress from Everything5Pounds, which is a grey number with a zip front. Again with nursing in mind, this dress could also work more formally, i.e. For a business meeting. Playing it safe, I ordered a size 10, which is more than roomy, so I pair with a belt.

The quality of the material is great, and it’s thick enough to layer up for autumn and winter.

The other three outfits were tops, two of which were for the crazy low price of £2.50!

I ordered a cute zip front jacket with jacquard style-detail. Again ordering size 10, this jacket is a bit on the huge side but it works worn casually over a plain top and jeans. Its bright design makes it ideal for spring, and its quality suggests it’s worth way more than the £5.

And finally, some discreet nursing cover-ups for those times I’m caught out and have to feed outside of the comfort of home.

The peach frayed hem cover-up is great as it’s much easier to feed discreetly than when using a fiddly scarf. And the kimono is more of a light, pretty cover up to complement a floaty top.

So overall Everything5Pounds is totally worth a look as you may find fast fashion at worst, or a surprise gem at best. It is working for me as my wardrobe is very changeable right now and I won’t be wearing my nursing gear for long.

Equally, if you’re looking for floaty holiday dresses or party outfits and you normally go to BooHoo or Missguided, I would definitely suggest paying Everything5Pounds a visit.
