Wasabi Prawns, Mango Salsa and Indo-Chinese Chicken were among the dishes being served up on Britain’s first ever cookery programme on the Facebook Live platform.

‘Easy Cooking Made Difficult’ presented by Raj Ghai and Pedro also featured a range of special guests.

Thousands of people flocked to watch the inimitable Raj & Pedro attempting to cook Pedro said: “Not only do we intend to drive audiences away from mainstream TV shows but I’m also hoping to stop people going down to the local cinema near my house to watch Bambi for the 10th time!”

The show will broadcast every Saturday morning from 10am.

Raj Ghai added, “When I heard that James Martin was leaving Saturday Kitchen, I was distraught, knowing that my Saturday mornings would never be the same again. So, we decided to create the show to fill the huge gap in my heart and stomach!”

Saturday’s show featured one of the original UK soul funk pioneers of the 70’s music scene Steve Salvari who was a founder member of Central Line and has also performed with soul legends Chaka Khan, Barry White and Robert Palmer.

Future guests have been confirmed and will be announced on a weekly basis.

The next show (21st March) will see the Punjabi Rockstar Juggy D not only perform live but also create an Asian infused Mexican Taco dish!
