A Miss India contestant is travelling to Barcelona to take part in the grand finals.
Komal Halai, 21, is won the first runner-up prize up in the UK during the auditions and will be representing her country at the finals in March.
She told us, “I decided to take part in Miss India Europe as I am very close to my Indian culture and traditions and this would be a great platform to showcase that.
“ If I won the title, I would use this as an opportunity to educate young teenagers about the Indian culture via dance workshops and help them find confidence within".
She is presently studying Human resource management at De Montfort University, Leicester.
She hails from Kenya a country with which she still has a great affinity too.
“I am a wildlife lover and have volunteered with the Kenyan wildlife service in creating awareness around the world about animal extinction".
According to the orgnnisers website ‘Wnners of Miss India Europé will receive prizes like, gifts from our sponsors and a Recommendation letter for entry to Bollywood movies with SAJJ Motion Picture and music videos with acclaimed Director Ravinder Ranguwal’.
