Families across the Northwest are being invited to the 'Health Haven’ event, which takes place on 30 June.

The aim of the team, ‘Silver Seven Events’ behind the event is to bring good health back into the community, through a combined effort to support those who need that little extra encouragement.

Inside the British Muslim Heritage Centre, ladies can comfortably roam and enquire about health services from companies such as NHS, MHS (Muslim Health Services), Stroke Association, Dementia Association, Lloyds Pharmacy and many, many more. Here you will have access to free health checks such as blood pressure, BMI and diabetes.

There will also be experts at the ready to provide information about fitness and exercise as well as beauty treatments and relaxation retreats.

For anyone fasting in the month of Ramadan, be sure to ask the experts on how to keep fit and healthy in the holy month.

Outside, under the warmth of an 80ft marquee, men, women and children (over the age of 10) can enjoy the organised activities such as football games, a bouncy castle, and face painting for the kids as well as nutritional advice so that they don’t miss out.

There will also be a barbeque, a healthy but tasty salad bar, and smoothies on sale around the marquee so there is plenty for everyone to enjoy. Tickets are only £5 and children under the age of 10 can get in for free. The first 10 individual customers to book 10 tickets will receive a free makeover, which they must claim at the event (terms and conditions apply).
