I don’t think there has been a single that has been THAT much awaited and anticipated as Imran Khan’s ‘Satisfya’.

His debut album ‘Unforgettable’ contained track after track of potential no.1 hits, every song different in it’s own way yet all showcasing Imran’s unique signature style. For this reason I couldn’t wait to get my teeth into ‘Satisfya’.

When you break onto the scene with such a great song and album, which is rare for most successful artists, you have to be able to keep showing improvement in your new releases and at first I didn’t see anything new in ‘Satisfya’.

To start with, the theme is so similar to his debut single ‘Amplifier’ that it could be mistaken for a copy, even the video holds similarities with the fast car and skyline scenes, so what’s new?

Well at first glance, not much, and from someone as big as Imran Khan, I had to wonder why this created so much hype. When I looked deeper into it, I realized the similarities were in fact, all intentional.

In the opening sequences of videos for both ‘Amplifier’ and ‘Satisfya’, you can see a tower in the background were IK is in the foreground. In his first song ‘Amplifier’ he was in Amsterdam, his hometown, and now he is Dubai, considered one of the most prestigious destinations in the world.

Even the choice to use a Lamborghini in both videos was deliberate; he is showing an evolution from a Countache to the Murcielago which could be representative of his personal change.

MY Verdict: I was not instantly impressed by ‘Satisfya’ and the buzz surrounding it, however watching the video and hearing how much more developed Imran’s vocal skills are in the new track, has certainly won me over. Well done on a great comeback.
