Unless you give this song a fair chance when you listen to it, you may think I have lost my mind but I found this song a pleasure to review and even more fun to share with my friends.
It’s very rare that rap works well in ‘desi’ music but I don’t see any clashes here. The beat is fun and the chorus is very catchy.
The video perfectly compliments the theme and style of the song. International Gujarati, or as I like to call him, ‘The International G’ travels from Paris to Las Vegas to San Francisco to India for the video and thanks to Kunal Agarwal Productions, we get to see the best bits of each cities with a Gujarati twist. T he best thing about this track is that it’s not trying to be something it isn’t, it is what it is and that is Gujarati Rap.
MY Verdict: ‘Gujarati Rap’ won’t be to everyone’s taste but you will certainly not find anything like this out at the moment.
