I recently read a review on newly released Bollywood film, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ and was surprised to see that for once Shah Rukh Khan’s role, of all things was under close scrutiny.
His pairing with Katrina Kaif seemed to lack chemistry, so when I first sat down to watch the video to Ishq Shava, I prepared myself for the worst.
The video may not quite have matched my negative expectation but I have to admit, SRK doesn’t quite possess the ‘pizzazz’ he has done in his previous hit songs, such as Chammak Chalo, RA One.
Katrina’s sexy image and trademark sensual hip moves make her fun to watch but SRK’s contribution and lack of sparkle have made him a pointless addition to this song.
On a more positive note, hats off to trio A.R Rahman, Raghav and female playback singer Shilpa Rao on producing a fun and sexy track with a great video to match.
The song will undoubtedly thrust Canadian-born singer back in to the limelight after his former release ‘Top Of The World’ hit only position 82 in the Canadian music charts.
My Verdict: Absolutely loving this song! Not seen the film yet but this song has pulled me in more than the actual film trailer.
Anybody know where I can get hold of a short, red leather jacket from?
