Jind Mahi is signed by ‘Three Records’ which was established by RDB.
Being the pioneers of bhangra music, it’s fair to say that there is a fair bit of pressure for them to bring out someone who can keep their reputation in the Asian music industry intact.
Jind is a bit of an all-rounder who sings, writes, composes and plays instruments so they have chosen well.
‘Saday Naal’ by Jind Mahi is a massive improvement from ‘Yaad Kari’, which mixed original Punjabi lyrics with hip hop song ‘Deuce’ by Chris Brown.
Although the story of ‘Saday Naal’ is nothing new, girl betrays guy and he is heartbroken, the song is definitely catchy and I can already envision it getting a great reception when performed live.
The song is well produced and the lyrics work well with the music.
Jind has already been compared to many other successful male Asian artists due to his style and how he looks so needless to say he has a lot to live up to.
My Verdict: The music is already stuck in my head and lyrics I like but I think the next track needs to be about something new.
Will I be downloading it from iTunes? If I don’t get the song out of my head, I may be downloading it very soon.
