ARTS, theatre and film lovers are being asked help keep Theatr Colwyn's doors open.

The Conwy Arts Trust is seeking support for the venue, as its doors remained closed to the public due to the impact of Covid-19.

Theatr Colwyn''s reopening date is still to be determined.

A spokesperson for the theatre said: "Even when the doors do open again it will be a long way from opening as the Theatr Colwyn we’re all familiar with.

As such, we need your help - could you keep one of the seats warm until the theatre can reopen?

"Just £10 could keep your favourite seat warm until you’re able to do so again in person.

"Although you can’t be with us at the theatre in person, you can be there in a photo version and make the auditorium look like its former self – once you’ve donated simply email us a suitable picture of yourself, we’ll print it out with the help of our friends at Oriel Colwyn and put it on your chosen seat.

"Your happy smiling face can fill the auditorium once again and keep your seat warm until you can return.

"Please Gift Aid your donation if you can, which will enable us to claim a further 25 percent on top of your money.

"Thank you so much for your support, the Theatr Colwyn staff can’t wait to see you soon. It might not be Business as usual yet – but there really is ‘No Business Like Show Business’."
