The long-awaited biopic 'Saand Ki Aankh' starring Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu is based on the lives of real-life Shooter Dadis (Shooter Grannies) - Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar.
The trailer shows a sharpshooting training session, where Bhumi's character perfectly aims and hits a bull's-eye. Taapsee’s character also tries a hand and shooting and hits a bull’s-eye as well.
Actor Vineet Kumar plays the coach who is impressed by their talent and begins to mentor them for local competitions.
The male family members are against their training sessions and cause trouble but the Shooter Dadis remain hell bent on bringing a change for the daughters of their family and continue to fight for the rights of the women of village.
Saand Ki Aankh is directed by Tushar Hiranandani and produced by Anurag Kashyap, Reliance Entertainment and Nidhi Parmar.
The film is out in cinemas for Diwali on 25 October 2019.
