Dear Massi, My nasty sister-in-law and her spoilt son completely ruined my wedding.

We had a small ceremony in my house and set up the stage in the garden.

I didn't want any kids there at all, but my husband's sister brought her five-year-old.

He's really spoilt and if he doesn't get his way, he throws a tantrum.

When she tried to feed him the dinner, he pushed the plate to the ground and dropped the food.

She lets him run around wreaking havoc and doesn't keep an eye on him.

Her son went over to the wedding cake, which cost £800 , and took massive bites out of the middle of it.

She didn't even tell him off. I told her to take her son away, but she shouted at me saying I was being really selfish to put a cake ahead of her child.

To top it all off, he peed on the grass.

The whole day was a nightmare all because of my sister-in-law and her brat of a child.

I can't forgive her, but I don't know how to move on from this.

Massi says, It is understandable that you wanted your wedding to be perfect and to go to plan.

It is, of course, difficult to predict how a child will behave at a formal gathering.

Each parent has their own parenting style and you being critical of how your sister-in-law and her husband are raising their child will only be deemed as harsh by them.

Whilst your sister-in-law and her husband should have been supervising their child, try not to make that the sole focus of your memories of a wonderful day.
