A ten-week-old baby elephant born in captivity thanks to artificial insemination was blessed at a zoo. Ganesh Vijay, the first elephant calf born at Twycross Zoo in Leicestershire, was given a traditional Hindu blessing. During the ceremony the Hindu priest, Brahmin Shree Mahendra Pandya from Leicester, prayed the baby elephant would bring happiness to the zoo.
