Detectives searching for a 14-year-old girl who developed an interest in Islam before going missing have appealed to the Asian community for help.
Sarah Dunn, from Leintwardine, Herefordshire, disappeared during a trip to Bridgnorth in Shropshire on September 28.
West Mercia Police said she had taken an interest in Islam prior to going missing and has contacts in the Smethwick and Dudley areas of the West Midlands.
A force spokesman said: “We are particularly appealing to the Asian community who may have a white female associating with them.”
At a press conference last week, Sarah’s mother, Catherine Dunn, appealed to her daughter to contact her.
She said: “Please get in touch with me to let me know that you are okay.
”Just give me a ring or make contact in whatever way you can.
”There are lots of people out there with your best interests at heart, looking for you to make sure that you are safe and well.
”Just let us know that you are all right, that’s all I ask of you Sarah.”
Anyone with information should contact West Mercia Police on 0300 333 3000.
