Tiger Woods appears to have little sympathy for any players he may have intimidated during his dominance of the game.

In a short video posted on social media, seemingly filmed during the 42-year-old’s Tiger Jam event in Las Vegas in May, Woods tells spectators attending a clinic: “I can’t control you. The only thing I can control is me.

“Now if I do this more efficiently than you, if you get intimidated that’s your own f****** issue.”

Woods won 14 major titles between 1997 and 2008 and held all four at the same time after completing the “Tiger Slam” with victory in the 2001 Masters, and also spent a record of 683 weeks as world number one.

Since returning to action after undergoing spinal fusion surgery in April last year Woods has recorded three top-five finishes in PGA Tour events, including a tie for fourth in his last start in the Quicken Loans National.

Woods is competing in the Open Championship at Carnoustie this week as he looks to claim a first major title since the 2008 US Open.
