Pregnant Malaysian shooter aims for gold

First published in Sport by

Malaysian shooter Nur Suryani Mohamad Taibi is aiming for a gold medal during the 2012 Olympic Games. Nur will be the very first woman to represent Malaysia in Olympic shooting; however she will also be 8 months pregnant.

The Malaysian shooting manager, Muzli Mustakim, believes Nur’s performance will not be affected by her pregnancy.

“She is very well prepared mentally. It has not affected her at all, so she is exceptional in that respect.”
