England will play in four new international venues when they tour India this winter.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India have released details of the fixtures, with plans to visit Pune, Dharamsala, Rajkot and Ranchi in the limited-overs leg of England's trip.

The four Test matches between the sides, which take place before Christmas, will be held in Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Nagpur before Twenty20s in Mumbai and the first new venue, Pune.

England then return to India in the new year for a five-match ODI series that sees games in Dharmasala, Rajkot, Ranchi and established international venues Mohali and Kochi.

A BCCI statement read: "The tour, programme and fixtures committee of the BCCI met in Chennai earlier today, and decided the venues for the series.

"Four new venues will stage international matches - Dharamsala, Pune, Rajkot and Ranchi.

"Dharamsala has already been approved as an international venue, whereas Rajkot, Pune and Ranchi are ready for approval."
