Could we sink any lower?

Following on from the night before it seems the majority of Blackburn fans await with abated breath for the imminent sacking of Steve Kean.

Founder members and Premiership Championships in 1995 Blackburn Rovers lie precariously bottom of a division they are fast losing a grip of, under the helm of Indian owners Venkys and their novice manager Kean.

Live global coverage of the 6 point derby v Bolton showed distasteful scenes, of almost all the home fans baying for the removal of Kean and a team devoid of ideas and any invention.

In the space of a year the club has gone from rising out of the depths of the lower half under the steady leadership of Sam Allardyce to sinking into oblivion in footballing terms from crazy board room decisions it appears.

As a lifelong Asian fan who has recently made half a dozen guest appearances on Abu Dhabi TV, I convey feelings felt by all Rovers fans including the wider Asian community.

The mutual views can bring all Rovers together and create a community cohesion unseen.

Equally if matters are not there is a serious threat of a purge and more so against the Asian community because of Venky's doings.

Most believe the solution is glaringly obvious.

Fans want Keans removal to bereplaced by a more competent manager with Premiership experience supported by previously promised funds and regular attendance by the owners.

Otherwise, the club will sink into matters which if the authorities take note could have external implications at such dire economic times as fans frustrations is often so fickle.

It seems on the face of it, Blackburn as a town has never been so united in a single cause as they wake up bottom of the Premiership.

From local community leaders including Jack Straw MP, through main sponsors to expert football pundits and most importantly the fans everyone find the goings on at Ewood unacceptable and want action from Venky's.

The local Asian community continue to support the club through thick and thin but as was most apparent at last nights game it is time for change and a breath of fresh air now rather than in the new year. The downside may well be a turn for a new year campaign against Venky's also alongside a manager who can't win games for the town Kean.

Do the decent thing and lets bring back Mark Hughes.
