Top teams again feature in Cancer Relief

This year’s Cancer Relief Football tournament has again attracted some of the region’s best teams.
Now, in it's eleventh year the competition, supported by Asian Image will take place on Sunday July 18 at Witton Park Artificial-Turf.
Five time winners Whalley Range will face a stiff test with the likes of Coppice United, Bank Top, Blackburn United Fishwick Rangers, Real Darwen, Rosserneri and Stoneyholme FC all gunning for the crown.
And after the success of the over 35s tournament last year we will again be hosting a knockout for the 'veterans'.
All seniors teams are asked to be at Witton Park Astro-turf, Blackburn for no later than 9.15am. The over 35s section will kick-off at 2.30pm.
Entry for both tournaments is £50 per club and anyone still wanting to enter can call 01254 298263 or 07970 216 334. No more applications are being sought for the over 35s section.
This is a seven-a-side tournament and three substitutes are permitted. All players MUST wear shin pads and you cannot play with blades at this venue.
