Rochdale Alliance League: Premier Division A good month for Asia FC with two results which wlll help their bid to climb up the table.
In the big derby it was honours even this time. That good defensive record (only 13 goals conceded) might come in use as the season wears on.
RESULTS: 2-2 vs Rochdale Asia; 8-3 vs Harlequin Rochdale Asia have the points on the table but they will rue those missed chances come the end of the season. There was a chance of a title challenge here but they let themseleves down with a series of mediocre results.
RESULTS: 2-2 vs Asia Roca juniors inconsistency continues to astound us. One week they win and the next week they lose badly. Some day they may well go two games unbeaten.
Great result against high-flying Weavers Arms.
RESULTS: 0-3 vs Fothergill and Whittles; 3-1 Weavers Arms Division 2: Two good wins have steered Rochdale Asia 2nds away from the bottom of the table. A couple more game like this and they will remain mid-table.
Bolton Sunday League Division one: Only one game to report on for Bolton Gloves United - a 9-3 win against Morris Dancers (yes that’s the name of the team). The victory would have helped united get their goal difference up and as you can see this one will go down to the wire.
OLDHAM SUNDAY LEAGUE Premier Division: After the great season last year when they reached four cup finals Coppice United seem to be all over the place of late.
Granted, they have only played a handful of games but they have only picked up only a few points. It is going to need a major turn around for the side to reach the heights of last season...but we said the same thing 12 months ago at this very time?
Results: 2-2 vs Failsworth; 4-2 Khartoum Northern
