Clayhall women’s footballer Riana Soobadoo, 17, was crowned Young British Asian Sports Personality of the Year at a lavish ceremony in London on Saturday.
The Beal High School pupil currently plays at Barnet Ladies. Her former clubs include Leyton Orient and the finest ladies team in the country, Arsenal.
Riana has played a big part in the Bees’ success this year and, to her knowledge, is the only Asian player to be competing in the league.
