The North will have a representative in the final of the UK Asian Community Cup.
The preliminary rounds of the tournament took place recently and Preston's Canaries were in top form.
Despite starting slowly with a 0-0 draw against Beaumont Athletic, Canaries overcame Glasgow Ansar (1-0), Mohammedan SC (3-0) and Asianos (3-1) to book their place in the semis.
That game included a scintillating goal by Jav Mohammed reminiscent of the famous Diego Maradona one against England in Mexico 86 picked the ball from inside his own half and evaded challenge after challenge passing six players and before slotting past the keeper.
Then goals by Mo Ali, Kaiser Ahmed and Faz Khan help them see off Stepney FC. It means Canaries will now play Birmingham's Smethwick in the final at Stamford Bridge the home of Champion League finalists Chelsea. The final will be played on Monday May 26.
