The ninth South Asian Christian Cricket Tournament has taken place at the Slough and Eton College in Ragstone Road.

Organiser Kashan Bennett from Langley said five cricket teams took part from different churches in and outside London. They included St Paul’s church, Slough and the London Royals, whose players were from Hounslow, Slough and all the way from Warrington.

It was a fun day with family and friends, a bouncy castle and free lunch for the 150 guests.

It lasted all day and this year's winner was London Lions.

Mr Bennett said: "We Pakistani and Indian Christians are small in numbers and also scattered. So I wanted to give this opportunity to my community to come and see each other in a very relaxed atmosphere. And thank God every year it’s getting bigger and better. Our guest of honour was the High Sheriff of Berkshire and the Mayor of Slough who also presented the trophies to the star batsman, star bowler and star player of the tournament, the runner up trophy and the winners' trophy."
