You win the cup...you appear on national TV and you get to watch the FA cup final from exclusive seats. Can’t be bad!

Canaries All Stars proved they haven’t lost that five-a-side magic touch as they lifted the People’s Cup Over 35s section.

There were a total of ten categories for the championships which were held during the build-up to the 2015 FA Cup.

It included male, female and disability players ranging from under-14s through to veterans (over 35s).

It also featured the increasingly popular walking football, which caters to those who enjoy playing the beautiful game at a slightly more sedate pace!

The competition took place over three rounds. Eight regional venues hosted the semi-finals, The Canaries team, who are past masters at five-a-side having won countless tournaments over the years, grinded their way to the final four.

Once there, you knew somehow they would walk away with the cup.

That man Ebrahim ‘The Wall’ Nakhuda was in some way to thank for their passage to the final on penalties. To say he was some sort of penalty expert is an understatement.

In a thrilling final which finished 2-2 against Tuttle United they took the game to penalties.

Nakhuda was once again the man to beat and Tuttle missed the fifth kick to crown Canaries the champs.

It was also fitting that the equalising goal was scored by Suleman Hafeji, who just a year ago broke his leg for the second time.

Some of the team are Preston North End fans but didn’t go to Wembley to watch the play-off final taking place a day earlier because of their own final!

But the story doesn’t end there. The team then ended up on BBC’s ‘The One Show’ being interviewed by Chris Evans - appearing on the same show as Lenny Henry and Elvis Costello.

The show began with Chris Evans introducing the players from several winning teams and inviting their thoughts for the FA Cup Final.

A day later they visited Wembley to watch the final itself, which ended pretty one-sided.
