Big build up to this game with both sides trying to reach their first semi-final in this tournament.
But as is almost always the case teams tend to cancel each out early. PLCC Nomads looked by far the more threatening in those early exchanges.
They took the lead through Ahmed Ayub and they never really looked back. AFC Preston simply did not cause goalkeeper Patel enough problems.
Nomads should have had a penalty and put this game to bed in the first half but the Assistant referees decision was overruled. When Nomads doubled their lead through Hussain in the second half they looked in total control. AFC for all their endeavours simply didn’t press enough and managed only to create half-chances.
