The Power League in Blackburn will be opening until 2am for the first time.
It comes after interest from locals wanting to play football during the month of Ramadan.
During the month of Ramadan Muslims fast between sunrise and sunset. Fasting this year begins early in the morning (2.30am) and ends late in the evening (9.40pm).
Whilst some Muslim players continue taking part in leagues during Ramadan others tend to take to break. The new midnight football period is a trial conducted by the Power League and it is hoped it will pick up during the month of Ramadan.
The football pitches normally close at 11pm with last bookings at 10pm.
