CLubs from across the region will contest the annual AMT Lawyers North West Football championships this year.


Club captains and managers gathered for the draw which this year took place at Ewood Park, the home of Blackburn Rovers. And the draw threw up some enticing possibilities – none more so than a potential Bolton showdown.


But PLCC Nomads will have to come through a play-off game against either South Manchester or AFC Preston to set-up a meeting with champions Bolton United.
Coppice United will begin their game against either Bury Town, Halifax West AFC or Star Athletic.

Asia face off against Paak United in a repeat of last year’s game which Paak won 2-1. And finally Blackburn FC take-on a rejuvenated Fishwick Rangers.
Asjad Hussain of AMT Lawyers  said: “We are delighted to be backing such a high profile tournament again. This really is a regional cup with teams from across the area represented.”

This year Six teams will contest the play-off round and they will join another six in the quarter-final round on May Bank Holiday.
New teams taking part this year include Halifax AFC, South Manchester and Star Athletic (Rochdale)
The semi-finals will take place under floodlights during the first week of May with the final on May 10.
All games will be held at the home of Nelson FC. Nelson are presently top of the North West Counties league Division 1 after a fantastic season.
