Spring Hall Celtic overcame Coppice United to win the North West Asian qualifiers.

They will now represent the North West at the UK Asian Football championships later in the year. The tournament takes place in Scotland.

Celtic had finished top of the table on goal difference but as per rules stated before the mini-league had begun the finals placings would be decided by a play-off.

It was a game which Oldham’s Coppice dominated early on. But a lack of composure in front of goal would cost them dearly.

Coppice took the lead within 20 minutes and should have out the game to bed within the first half. But some lacklustre defending saw Celtic equalise. They then scored on either side of the half to put themselves in the driving seat.

Coppice create hit the bar and the post late on but that was not before Celtic had missed a penalty themselves.
