Time To Go anti-war march
In September 2006 Manchester city centre came to a standstill as anti-war protesters gave the Labour Leadership a hostile reception at their annual conference. The Stop the War Coalition’s “Time To Go” demonstration attracted thousands from across the country and from various backgrounds. The rally was addressed by speakers such as Tony Benn and Lindsey German of the Stop the War Coalition.Protesters also staged a mass “die-in”. They lay on the ground outside the G-Mex Centre in protest at the thousands killed during the war in Iraq.
