At least 17 children were killed when their school collapsed under heavy rains in India today.
Uttrakhand state minister for relief Khazan Das said eight pupils were saved from the building in Sumgarh.
Rescuers are still looking for another 11 children and two teachers believed to be buried in the debris.
The region is nearly 400 miles south-west of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh state.
