When a Texas mosque was burned down, Jewish people in the city handed Muslim worshippers the keys to their synagogue.

Robert Loeb, the president of Temple Bnai Israel, told Forward, "Everyone knows everybody, I know several members of the mosque, and we felt for them. When a calamity like this happens, we have to stand together.”

Shahid Hashmi, one of the founders of the mosque, said: "Jewish community members walked into my home and gave me a key to the synagogue."

This wonderful manifestation of solidarity reiterated a sentiment that many Jewish people have articulated since Donald Trump threatened to create a registry of Muslim Americans.

The ‘Big Bang Theory' actress Mayim Bialik and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright both said they would register as Muslims if the controversial registry was invoked.

May other Jewish people have taken to Twitter to share their support for Muslims.
