Junaid Jamshed turned his back on the celebrity lifestyle and became devoted to Islam.

He toured many mosques and was a regular visitor to the UK where he would volunteer his services to help raise funds for charity or appear at special religious functions.

Members of his family were also said to be on the tragic flight which killed 47 people according to reports.
