Legendary actor Morgan Freeman attends Ashura commemorations in London

The actor was seen in Al-Khoei Foundation, London, Queens Park, coinciding with the 10th of Muharram which is known as the day of Ashura.

Speculation on Twitter led to some believing that Freeman has converted to Shia Islam whilst others felt he attended the mosque to pay his respects to mark the religious occasion.

However, Freeman visited the mosque to film his upcoming documentary for National Geographic, “The Story of God.”
