Social media celebrity Qandeel Baloch has been strangled to death by her brother police say.
Ms Baloch, 26, who was renowned for posting revealing pictures on online was killed in Multan.
Police say the killing took place on Friday night.
"The brother was also there last night and the family told us that he strangled her to death," a police official told the AFP news agency.
Earlier, some TV channels had reported that Qandeel was shot by her brother named as Waseem. He had fled the scene.
According to local press Qandeel was in Multan to visit her parents as her father had been unwell, and spent Eid with her family.
There was widespread condemnation of the killing which in parts of the country has become all too common.
