There has been mixed response to the protest by Jagmeet Singh on live TV yesterday.
Mr Singh, from the educational charity Basics of Sikhi was appearing on Sunday Morning Live and was protesting against the lack of coverage of the killings of Sikhs in the Punjab region of India.
Presenter Sian Williams was interrupted on the show and threatened to have the panellist ejected.
Mr Singh was on the panel to discuss an earlier report on the show about a woman who was not permitted to have a wedding in a Gurdwara because she was marrying a non-Sikh.
Twitter users were quick to congratulate Mr Singh for highlighting the plight of Sikhs.
Well done #JagmeetSingh. @BBCNews shows how much you care. Poor conduct by @sianwilliams100 #SikhLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/o8vvfA1tMA

Astonished at how rude @sianwilliams100 was shutting out Jagmeet Singh raising important issues for the Sikh Community

Seems those who are criticising #jagmeetsingh the most are those who have done sweet FA to raise awareness of #SikhLivesMatter
