Pakistan is mourning the victims of a pair of Taliban suicide bombings that struck two churches, killing 15 people, and minority Christians have blocked roads in protest over the attacks.

Pakistani shipping minister and Christian community leader, Kamran Michael, said all Christian schools will remain closed today as prayer services and funerals of the victims get under way.

Christians have blocked roads in the eastern cities of Faisalabad and Gujranwala. More protests are planned elsewhere later today.

Yesterday's bombings in the eastern city of Lahore struck in quick succession in the Christian neighbourhood of Youhanabad during morning services.

After the attacks, angry Christian mobs blocked a major highway, ransacked a bus terminal and burned two people to death who they suspected of being involved in the attacks.
