There is no justification for the vile hashtag trending on twitter #hitlerwasright.

Just as we demand that their whole population not be tarnished by the actions of a few extremists, in the same way the Jewish population deserve the same respect.

No amount of conflict or bombings in Gaza warrants a racist backlash. Over 100 hate crimes have been reported by the police against Jews in the UK in the wake of the Palestinian conflict.

The perpetrators I'm sorry to say were Muslims.

A group of Asian men drove through a Jewish area in Greater Manchester shouting ‘Heil Hitler.’ A rabbi was attacked outside a Jewish school.

One Twitter warrior stated: “I say we go bomb Stamford Hill up just so the Jews feel the pain.”

A woman in a niqab reportedly threw a brick at a Jewish boy who was riding his bike. Which begs the question, is this ultimately what your religion teaches?

Racist rhetoric and hate crimes will neither alleviate nor solve any conflict.

Hate crimes only serve to make a bunch of brainwashed and easily influenced individuals feel a sense of superiority and satisfaction that they have ‘done their bit’ to help fellow Muslims.

The irony is there is no sense of this loyal camaraderie amongst the Muslims themselves. You only have to look at the bilious sectarian divide between Shias and Sunnis and between Wahabis and Sunnis.

Only last week at an Islamic circle, an Imam declared that Shia Muslims 'are even worse than Jews and Christians'.

This lack of intellectual debate is shocking.

Islam ultimately is a religion based on peace, which, once upon a time, lived shoulder to shoulder with the people of the book, the Jews and Christians.

This type of pungent halitosis and toxic hysteria is robbing the world of peace and tolerance. Demonstrations that involve shouting ‘f*** the Zionists, f*** the Jews’ achieve nothing.
