The ultimate in patriotic killer heels have been unveiled for those who want to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in style.

Designer Aruna Seth made the limited edition “British shoes” specifically to be worn at Jubilee celebrations this weekend, although the £3,000 price tag for the more elaborate Union flag style suggests they could be destined for show in collections rather than on the dancefloor.

The pricier wedges are covered in more than 3,000 Swarovski crystals, while the pair featuring a Union flag bow on the heel are priced at £1,500.

Seth said the shoes took two weeks to be crafted in northern Italy, with each crystal placed by hand.

Women can be assured that - despite appearances - the shoes are comfortable, with “plus leather cushioning” supplying “cashmere-like comfort to feet”.

The British company is no stranger to royalty, with the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton wearing Seth’s “Lynn” sandal to the Buckingham Palace reception after the royal wedding.

Aruna Seth shoes and accessories have also been chosen by Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and actresses such as Kate Hudson, Goldie Hawn and Katherine Heigl.

The British shoes are currently on display at Harrods in London.
