Police are hunting two thugs who battered an Asian man to the ground before repeatedly kicking him during a vicious racist attack.

The pair smashed a motorcycle helmet over the 44-year-old’s head as they launched their assault on Saturday, near the Esso Patrol Station, in Midsummer Avenue, Hounslow, London.

The victim was out walking between 10.30pm and 10.45pm when the men began pushing him and bombarding him with racial abuse - despite his pleas to be left alone.

After knocking him to the floor with the helmet, the thugs continued to kick him and racially abuse him before running to the Esso garage and fleeing on a small motorbike.

The 44-year-old suffered a cut to his arm and bruising.

Both attackers were 17 to 18 years old. One was white, 6ft, with black spiky hair and wearing a white top and bottoms.

His accomplice was white or possibly mixed race.

Anyone with information should call Hounslow police on 0208 247 6160/5940 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
