A teenager allegedly kidnapped and murdered in a suspected honour killing has been named as Celine Dookhran.

A court has been told the body of 19 year-old was found inside a £1.5million home after a woman in her 20s who had her throat slit alerted police.

Ms Dookhran was allegedly kidnapped with the other woman, bound and gagged and taken to an address in south west London where they were raped and Ms Dookran was killed last Wednesday.

Binita Roscoe, prosecuting, told the court, ‘The deceased was involved in a relationship with an Arab Muslim and the family members didn’t approve of this relationship because they are Indian Muslims'.

The court was told two men in balaclavas went into a house where Miss Dookhran was with her friend, who is in her twenties on July 19.

The prosecution told the court, "Her face and mouth were covered in duct tape. Her hands were tied with cable tie.

"She believes a sock was placed in her mouth. She had heard the deceased who was in the shower screaming.

"The deceased was brought down tied up. They were bound in dust sheets and placed in a vehicle."

In a message on Twitter on July 11, Ms Dookhran wrote: “Alhamdulilah (praise to God) for everything that’s all I can say.”

Mujahid Arshid, 33, appeared in court charged with the murder, rape and kidnap of Ms Dookhran.

He is also charged with the rape, attempted murder and kidnap of the second woman.

Vincent Tappu, 28, from Acton, is charged with the kidnap of both women.

Arshid is due to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday 28 July. Both men are due to appear at the same court on August 21.
