A woman who has lost four stones in 8 months has been sharing her inspiring weight loss trajectory on Instagram.

Anupreet Rosie Duggal, aged 28, said she embarked on her journey to lose weight following the breakdown of her marriage.

"I have always had an issue with weight and I suffer from polycystic ovaries, but went to the gym regularly and kept it to around 9 and a half stones.

"Due to a bad marriage, I stopped caring about going to the gym, I stopped watching what I was eating and my weight drastically increased to 13.3 stones (186 pounds) within a year.

"Stress, unhappiness, negativity are all causes of weight gain and I don't think many people realise it.

"I made a decision to get out of the marriage and sort myself out.

"As soon as I removed myself from the negative situation, I knew something had to be done.

"I was overweight, unhealthy, and my polycystic ovary syndrome symptoms had peaked because of it.

Anupreet, from Leeds, shares her motivational updates including before and after pictures on her Instagram page rosiegetsfit.

She said that she has changed her entire lifestyle but does indulge in the occasional 'cheat day.'

"I go to the gym everyday and do a mixture of cardio and weigh training

"I dropped a stone within a month.

"When I receive an unexpected text from a follower who reveals I am their inspiration, the one person whose life they'll like to lead, values they'll like to follow and perseverance they'd like to adopt, it's an honour.

"Once that feeling sinks in, I read those words again and empathise with someone who is in that unhappy place I was sometime ago and realise the essence of the moral and social duty attached to my journey.

"The real purpose of the journey that I embarked on is to spread awareness and educate those in need of direction.

"In every post of mine, I stress upon courage and self-belief.
