A casino has clarified that an event planned for after Eid was cancelled many weeks ago.
The picture of an advertisement from the Grosvenor Casino Bradford went up in the city some weeks back. It asks people to celebrate Eid with an evening at the casino which also included belly dancers.
Some people are continuing to circulate and comment on the event on social media despite it having been cancelled.
The casino told us the event was cancelled immediately after it was advertised. The event was cancelled almost 24 hours after the poster went up after concerns were put to the casino.
Muslims are asked to re-evaluate their lives during the holy month. Gambling in itself is frowned upon and is deemed haram.
